Itinerary

  • Pick-up from Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi.
  • Meet your mountain guide for briefing and gear check.
  • Rest and prepare for the climb.
  • Overnight: Hotel in Moshi (e.g., Parkview Inn or similar)
  • Meals: Dinner

  • Drive to Machame Gate (approx. 1 hour).
  • Begin hike through lush rainforest trails.
  • Distance: ~11 km / Time: 5–7 hours
  • Elevation gain: 1,200m
  • Overnight: Machame Camp
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Trek through moorland and open ridges.
  • Stunning views of Kibo Peak.
  • Distance: ~5 km / Time: 4–6 hours
  • Overnight: Shira Camp
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Acclimatization day: Hike to high altitude and descend for rest.
